The director of "Captain America: Civil War" revealed that the movie will have a controversial ending, along with plenty of new updates related to the role of Martin Free Man and Pepper Potts' comeback.

This May, the blockbuster Captain America: Civil War will start Phase Three of "Marvel Cinematic Universe". Only one year after Avengers managed to stop Ultron, most superheroes (and some new ones) will be drawn into a civil war due to Sokovia Accords and superhero registration act. Like the original comics of 2006, the movie is likely to have enormous consequences, not only for the Captain America series, but also the "Marvel Cinematic Universe".

When asked about those consequences, co-director Joe Russo shared with Empire Magazine that: "The consequences of Civil War will have an even more significant impact [than The Winter Soldier]. In Civil War, we're going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Psychology, and it's an extreme shift."

In all previous movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Winter Soldier's ending is the most significant one with the collapse of SHIELD and Hydra restructuring to become the largest terrorist organization in the world. It is entirely reasonable when only 2 years later, Civil War continues the trend, putting the name of Captain America to new heights. Although the filmmakers repeatedly affirmed that the movie will revolve around Cap, the plot will certainly affect other characters, whether it is a death or disintegrated friendship. This is actually a very clever way to launch Phase Three.

Besides, Empire Magazine also revealed some important information about Civil War which is related to the role of Martin Freeman. Accordingly, Marvel confirmed that Freeman plays as Everett Ross, a member of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre. This is an organization founded to oversee the superheroes and it is exactly what Captain America should be afraid. In addition, Empire Magazine also confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts. With a large cast, many people predict that her roll will be very small.

Up to now, there are only more than 2 months left until the movie's release. In the meantime, Marvel will be likely to launch new trailers to please its fans. Captain America: Civil War will hit the theaters on 06/05/2016.

Meanwhile, Marvel's rival, DC Comics has also started the process of filming Justice League Part I with director Zack Snyder and actor Jason Momoa (Aquaman) on the set. The movie is confirmed to begin shooting on April, 11th.
